PAPAYA-BANANA SMOOTHIE







Delicious, Sweet, Tasty, Soothing and of course mouth-watering is exactly how I would describe Papaya-Banana Smoothie. There are many who would say Papaya is not their favorite fruit, but once they know about the health benefits, I am sure they will change their mind. With the mix of banana this smoothie tastes really good.

There are many benefits to banana and at the same time so does Papaya. Papaya is a very good source for Vitamin A, C, E and folate. It is also very low in calories and is said to be very good for weight loss as there is more fiber in this fruit. The combination of these two fruits helps you to stay healthy and at the same time enjoy a great smoothie.


India is a hub for Papayas but this fruit is not considered of high value or given much importance as other fruits. Maybe this is because there is enough of it and everyone there is sick and tried of seeing it everyday or they think this fruit does not have a lot of nutrients. Either way I hope this will give awareness to this wonderful nutritious fruit.
INGREDIENTS

Prep Time: 5 mins
Total Time: 5 mins
Serves: 2-3



  • Ripe Papaya (peeled, seeded and diced)  - 2 1/2 cups
  • Banana (peeled and sliced)   - 1 medium
  • Vanilla/ plain yogurt        - 1/2 cup
  • Whole Milk/ Almond Milk      - 1/3 cup
  • Vanilla Extract              - 1 tsp
  • Sugar if needed
METHOD OF PREPARATION STEP BY STEP

1.Combine all ingredients in a blender.

2.Blend on high for 40-50 seconds or until smooth.

CHILL BEFORE SERVING
