DRAGON CHICKEN RECIPE IN STEPS

I am totally satisfied with the end result. This dish has definitely made me the happiest person ever. Priceless!! The reaction on my husbands face was definitely Priceless. The expression on his face spoke more to me than all the words he used.

When we all crave for Chinese food, what do we usually do?
Exactly what you are thinking, we order take out. Today we are going to make it at home.

I have not made a lot of Indo-Chinese dishes and usually I would have to give it couple of tries before it comes out perfect. But this dish, on its first try, got the best review ever.

Dragon Chicken is a dry dish and can be eaten as a snack or with fried rice or noodles. Just like the picture this is a delicious dish. Go ahead give it a try and let me know in the comments how it tasted.

METHOD OF PREPARATION STEP BY STEP

1.Clean and cut the boneless chicken into thin long strips. Cut the bell peppers, onion and carrot into long strips. Chop spring onion and cilantro (coriander leaves) finely.

2.Combine all ingredients listed under - "For marinating the Chicken" in a large bowl and mix everything well to form a smooth batter.

3.Add the chicken pieces to this and mix well. Set aside for 15-20 minutes.

4.Heat oil in a thick bottomed pan. Deep fry the marinated chicken over low-medium heat until golden brown color and crispy.

5.Heat 2 tbsp. of oil that was used to fry the chicken. Add red dry chilly, then add chopped cashews and saute it for 1 minute.
Add sliced onion, chopped garlic, ginger and saute it for 1 minute.

6.Add half of the sliced bell pepper, carrot and saute it for 2-3 minutes.

7.Add tomato sauce, red chilly paste and dark soy sauce. When soy sauce comes to a slight boil, add the fried chicken pieces and combine well.

8.Add the remaining sliced bell peppers. Increase the flame and toss well in the sauce for a few minutes. Adjust the salt.

9.Garnish with spring onions, chopped cilantro. Remove from heat and transfer it to a plate.

    1. It is an Indo-Chinese Recipe. It is very good with fried rice or you can have it by itself as a snack. You should try making it.
